Depression Symptom Data Visualization

Clear visualization of the uniqueness of the symptoms assessed in major depression scales.

A visualization to graphically showcase the degree of overlap among the symptoms that common clinical instruments measure as assessment of major depression. The challenge consisted in visualizing the stark disparity as well as the overlap among the 52 different symptoms of depression as used in seven different instruments that measure major depression. We solved this by a circular layout, the resulting data viz is shown below.
