This course involves the co-ordinatinon of so-called project seminars and co-supervising a project seminar group (with Mikhail Spektor). Project seminars provide groups of psychology students with the opportunity to develope their own first empirical research project, supervised by a team of 11 researchers from various areas of psychology. Students go through all steps of the research process: from hypothesis generation and experimental design to submitting a research report and presenting their findings at a student conference.
This course introduces bachelor students to scientific writing to prepare them for their bachelor thesis. In Basel, the thesis usually takes the form of a review article. The course teaches hands-on skills regarding the necessary parts of your thesis, the overall structure of a scientific review article, how to search, read, and evaluate the literature, organizing your sources using citation management programs, how to cite according to APA, and how to manage your workflow efficiently.

Lecture (jointly with Jörg Rieskamp) about the concept of risk in cognitive psychology, measures of human risk taking, theories and findings about how humans perceive the magnitude of risks, why they misperceive them sometimes, how people understand formats like percentages or conditional probability, how to improve communication about risks, and theories explaining individual differences in risk attitudes and behavior.
